Colorado Mesa University

          The Mesa State Men's Soccer team was picked to finish in a tie for 5th this morning in the RMAC Preseason Poll. Mesa State finished 2-15-1, 2-11-1 last season. Defending National Champion Fort Lewis was picked to win the RMAC, followed by Colorado Mines, Metro State and Regis to round out the top four.

          Metro State Senior Steven Emory was picked the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year while Ft. Lewis Senior Jamie Cunningham was picked the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. No Mavericks were selected to the preseason team.

          Mesa State will open its season September 3rd against Colorado Christian in Lakewood, Colo. The Mavericks home opener is slated for September 13th as they will take on Seattle Pacific at Walker Field.
