Mesa State’s golfer Jessica Berve was named to ESPN The Magazine First Team Academic All-District VII (College Division) At-Large teams announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida).

Berve, a sophomore from Farmington, N.M. is Chemistry major with a 4.00 GPA. She was a unanimous selection to the RMAC Women’s Golf First Team All-Academic announced last week by the league office. Berve was one of just three unanimous selections.

Berve and her teammates earned an NCAA Central Regional tournament berth where the team finished eighth overall. This season Berve had five top five finishes including second place finishes at the Regis University Invitational, Quality Inn Maverick Invitational and the Colorado Christian Tri-tournament.
