Sara Jordan (Jr., Ut/P, 5’5”, San Marcos, TX) was named to the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NCFA) All-Region Second Team announced by the NFCA Association. Jordan, the Mavs leading pitcher and designated player (utility), led the Mavs to a Central Region tournament berth. She was named earlier in the week to the Daktronics All-Region Second Team.

The teams are selected in each of the eight regions by member coaches. All the honorees become eligible for one of three All-American teams.

Jordan finished the season with a team high .418 batting average, starting all 45 games for the Mavericks. She led the team with 61 hits and 12 homeruns. Jordan finished with 45 RBI, 10 doubles and 30 runs scored.  She led the team in victories (14), appearances (31), complete games (17) and shutouts (5.). She recorded 111 strikeouts and had a team low 4.34 ERA.
