NCAA Central Region Bracket

Indianapolis, Ind. – The NCAA announced today the two championship fields for the men’s and women’s tennis tournaments.  Three RMAC men’s tennis teams made the four-team Central Regional Tournament, while two of the six women’s tennis teams earned a spot in the women’s tournament.

On the men’s side, Western New Mexico (15-6) will host Nebraska-Kearney (14-8) in Silver City at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 6.

St. Cloud State (11-10) will travel to Grand Junction, Colo. to face Mesa State.  The NCAA Central Region bracket was shortened to four teams instead of six because there were only four teams with a .500 record or better.

The winner from each site will advance to the Sweet 16 Tournament May 12-15 at Sanlando Tennis Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

In the women’s field, Nebraska-Kearney (16-5) will play May 8 between the Friday’s winner of Augustana (20-1) and Upper Iowa (10-5).

Mesa State women will travel to St. Cloud, Minn. to face Winona State (13-7).  The winner of that match will play host St. Cloud State.

The winner from each site will advance to the Sweet 16 Tournament May 12-15 at Sanlando Tennis Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
