In the last regional poll prior to the selection show Sunday night the Mesa Sate men’s basketball team remains at number two in the Central Regional rankings.
No. 1 ranked Minnesota State Mankato lost Wednesday night to eighth-seeded Southwest Minnesota State (80-78) in the opening round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament in Mankato.
Mesa State dropped its first round game of the RMAC Tournament falling to CSU-Pueblo Tuesday night in Brownson Arena.
Sunday night the NCAA Selection Show will reveal the number one seed and determine the host of the eight-team regional tournament to be played March 13, 14, and the championship game on the 16th.
The final central regional poll will determine what top eight teams earn a post season tournament bid to the regional tournament.
