Dominguez Scores 17 in NABC All-Star Game
East All-Stars fall in OT 131-125

Senior guard Mike Dominguez tied for an All-Star team high 17 points, grabbed six rebounds and posted a game high three steals Friday night starting for the East All-Stars in the NABC/Division II Elite Eight All-Star game in Springfield, Mass.
Dominguez’s East All-Star team fell to the West All-Star team 131-125 in overtime. The West squad out-scored the East 16-10 in the overtime period. Dominguez sent the game into overtime with a 3-pointer as time expired in regulation.
Dominguez was one of three East All-Stars to score 17 points and one of six players to score in double digits. Dominguez finished 7-of-14 from the floor, including 3-of-7 from beyond the arc.
Dominguez is the first Maverick in school history to play in the NABC/Division II All-Star game. Last week Dominguez was named to the Daktronics All-America Second Team, becoming the first DII All-American at MSC. Dominquez was named Central Region Player of the Year, RMAC Player of the Year and RMAC West Division Player of the Year.
Mesa State finished the season 23-6 and won its first ever Division II regional tournament game Winona State 73-68.
