Five-time RMAC Player of the Week Honoree

Senior guard Mike Dominguez (6-3, Santa Fe, N.M./Florida International) has been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference West Division Player of the Week. It is the fifth time he has garnered the weekly award this season.

 Dominguez scored a game high 35 points at home against Fort Lewis Friday
night in an overtime win, two short off his career high 37 points at New Mexico Highlands.
It marked the fourth time this year he has scored 30 or more points.

In a win the following night against Adams State, Dominguez tallied a team high eight
rebounds and tied for most assists (five). In the two home wins, he averaged 32.2 minutes,
26.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists. He leads the team with 50 three-point field goals,
120 free throws and is averaging 21.2 points per game. He is second on the team with 29 steals and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Dominguez, who is shooting .550 from the field, has reached double digit figures in 19 of 20 games. He has led the team in scoring in 14 of 20 games, including a string of eight consecutive games.

The Mavericks have earned RMAC Player of the Week honor seven times this season. Jase Herl has earned the award twice.

Mesa State is ranked No. 13 in the latest National Association Basketball Coaches Division II Poll and ranked No. 1 in the Central Region.

 MSC is 19-1 overall and 13-0 in league play. The Mavericks will travel to Western State Tuesday night at play at Western New Mexico Saturday night in Silver City, NM.
