Nationally ranked Fort Lewis College (21-2, 11-1 RMAC) defeated Mesa State (7-12, 4-8 RMAC) 63-37 Friday night at Brownson Arena.
The Skyhawks were led by Abby Jackson’s game high 15 points, all from beyond the arc, in the Skyhawks victory. FLC had four players in double digits.
MSC trailed 11-12 with 13:08 remaining in the first half when the Skyhawks went on an 18-7 run to close out the first half with a 30-18 lead.
Hannah Breidel led the Mavericks with 12 points off the bench, including 10-second half points.
Alaina Brennan pulled down a game high eight rebounds and added six points and two assists.
MSC will host regionally ranked Adams State College Saturday night. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m.
