Mesa State women’s swimming & diving team are in fourth place at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships at Meyers Pool in Arvada, CO. The men’s team is in fifth place.
Freshman Katie Wedel won the 200-yard individual medley. Kelly Hogan placed third in the 500 freestyle and Rebecca Reed finished third in the 50 freestyle.
The women’s 200 freestyle relay team and the 400 medley relay team each placed third.
The women are in fourth place with 190 points. University of Incarnate Word leads following day one of the championships with 245 points. Minnesota State Moorhead is second (217.5) and Grand Canyon is third (205.5). Host Colorado School of Mines is fifth (116) followed by Northern State (94), Texas-Permian Basin (82), Neb.-Kearney (73) and Adams State College is in ninth place (1).
The Mesa men are in fifth place with 42 points. University of Incarnate Word holds down first place with 342 points. Colorado Mines is second (241.5), followed by Grand Canyon (198), Texas- Permian Basin (183.5) and Mesa State.
