Mesa State women’s softball team is picked to win the RMAC west division and second overall in the RMAC Coaches poll released by the conference office.
Junior pitcher Sara Jordan was named Preseason All-Conference. Last season Jordan led the team in wins (14-6), saves (4) and an ERA of 3.11. She hit .374 on the year and led the team with 13 homeruns, 49 RBI and a .687 slugging percentage.
Last year the Mavs finished the season ranked No. 16 in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll. MSC finished the season 30-21 overall, advancing to the Division II Super Regional, losing twice to Winona State (MN).
Metro State is picked to win the RMAC receiving nine first place votes. MSC is picked second overall and received two first place votes.
