Little named RMAC Scholar Athlete

Senior outfielder Justin Little was named Mesa State's 'Male Scholar Athlete of the Year' by the RMAC. Little was a Two-Time Academic Player of the Year ('07 and '08) and had been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District team ('08).
Little finished the season batting .383 with 7 triples, 4 homeruns, and 21 stolen bases. In his career, Justin has set 3 school career records. He holds the career record for hits (271), runs scored (229), and stolen bases (66).
Justin helped win Mesa State's fifth consecutive RMAC Championship and was a part of three NCAA Tournament's. This past season the Mavericks won their first Regional Tournament earning them a berth in the NCAA Division II World Series in Cary, NC.
Justin is a biology major and wants to work in the field of Genetics. He will graduate this coming December.
