Mesa State sophomore Afton Balling (Cody, Wyo.) and teammate Jennifer Hilts tied for
31st at the Grand Canyon Women’s Fall Invitational in Goodyear, Ariz.
Balling shot a round of 73 on day two and recorded one eagle and six birdies in the
Tournament. The round of 73 was a team low for the tournament. At the Grizzly Invitational/
RMAC Event #1, she tied for sixth, and at the RMAC Event No. 3/ThunderWolf Invitational, she tied for 9th. Her round of 73 is a season low.
MSC is in first place in the RMAC standings with 16 points.
Mesa State will host the Maverick Fall Invitational at Tiara Rado Golf Course on Oct. 12-13.

Point System: Each team will receive one (1) point for every RMAC team
they defeat at each of the four mandatory events. The team that finishes
first will have defeated eight (8) teams and shall receive eight (8) points, the
second place team would receive seven (7) points, etc. The aggregate point
total of the four tournaments will determine the RMAC regular season
champion.
