Lowder & Sargent place eighth at ITA Tournament

Mesa State women's tennis duo of Kate Lowder and Victoria Sargent placed eighth at the ITA Small College Championships Friday afternoon in Mobile, Ala.
Thursday Lowder and Sargent dropped their first round match and round one of consolation. Friday they played Wayne State's (Mich) Sharon Gill and Milena Vuksanovic for seventh/eighth place. The pair lost 6-4, 6-2. The tournament concludes the fall schedule.
Day one Results:
Mesa State women’s tennis doubles duo of Kate Lowder and Victoria Sargent dropped their opening quarterfinal match at the ITA Small College Championships on Thursday in Mobile, Ala.
Lowder and Sargent fell 6-2, 6-1 to Terza Sykorova and Sabina Baberadova from Francis Marion. Sykorova and Baberadova went on to win their semifinal match and advance to the finals.
Lowder and Sargent lost to Katerina Jiskrova and Maggie Ekert from Lynn University in the consolation round, 6-0, 6-0.
The two will play for seventh place Friday afternoon against Sharon Gill and Milena Vuksanovic of Wayne State.
