Jennifer Hilts led the MSC women’s golf team to the Quality Inn Fall Invitational team title at Tiara Rado Golf Course Tuesday afternoon.
MSC pulled away from the field in round two posting a two round total 663, 29-strokes ahead of second place Regis University’s 692. Adams State (706) and Colorado Christian (720) were third and fourth respectively.
Hilts won her second consecutive individual title carding a 159 (78, 81). Hilts has placed in the top 5 in four of the five fall tournaments.
Jessica Berve finished second at 163 (81, 82). It is Berve’s fourth top 8 finish and second consecutive second place finish.
Kristina Casillas and Michelle Stripp tied for seventh at 172. Courtney Lawson posted a 177.
Hilts led the field in par 4 scoring (+8) and tied for first with 3 birdies. Berve was second overall in par 5 scoring (+2).
The victory on their home course closes out the fall schedule as the Mavericks stand in first place in the RMAC. The team clinched four team titles and an 11th place finish at the Grand Canyon University Invitational that included Division I and II schools.
