Sophmore forward Daniela Ramirez (Rupert, ID) was named to the NCAA Division II Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team. Ramirez led the Mavericks with nine goals and seven assists in her first year as a member of the MSC soccer team. She tallied 61 shots, 29 shots on goal, and four game winning goals.
MSC finished the season 12-9-1 overall and 7-6-0 in conference play under first year head coach Erin Sharpe. The Mavericks qualifed for the post season conference tournament, falling in overtime to Colorado School of Mines 2-1. The Orediggers, Metro State and Regis University all qualified for the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament. Metro State, 17-3-1 overall is the #1 seed in the Central Region and will host six-team regional beginning this Friday, November 14.
