Minnesota State Wins Regional Thriller over Mesa State
With a trip to the NCAA Central Region semifinals on the line, the Minnesota State Mavericks faced off with the Mesa State Mavericks. Minnesota State comes in with a 41-13 record and ranked 15th in the country by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper while Mesa State came into the contest with a 37-18 record.

Nigbur Semifinalist for DII Award
Mesa State Catcher Brett Nigbur was named a semifinalist for the PING Baseball Tino Martinez DII Player of the Year Award. Nigbur along with 34 other semifinalists were selected for the award which is in its first year.

Mesa State Enters Regional as #3 Seed
Mesa State will enter the NCAA Central Region Tournament as the #3 seed and will face #4 seed Winona State Warriors. The Mavericks and Warriors will square off at 3:00pm at Ricketts Park in Farmington, NM on Thursday May 12.

Mavericks fall in Title Game
The Mesa State Mavericks and the New Mexico Highlands met in the RMAC Tournament Championship in Kearney, Nebraska. It was the the tenth meeting between the two schools on the season with Mesa State holding the edge, six games to three. This time the Cowboys got the edge, 8-6 over the Mavericks.
