               MSC volleyball advances to the RMAC championship game coming from two sets down to defeat Colorado School of Mines 3-2 (20-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-14, 15-9) on Saturday evening in Kearney, NE. The Mavs will face Regis University for the title Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

                  Mesa State placed two players on the 2008 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Teams announced earlier today by the league office. Sophomore setter Tara King (Steamboat Springs, CO) and junior outside hitter Alisan Tompkins (Grand Junction, CO) earned post season honors.

               Mesa State had 14 players named to the 2008 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Football Teams announced by the conference office. MSC had five first team selections including Jared Keating as RMAC Special Teams Player of the Year and running back Bobby Coy’s unanimous selection.

Freshman Katie Wedel (Pueblo, CO) was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Swimmer of the Week for her outstanding performance at the Bill & Peggy Foster Dual Meet hosted by Mesa State College this past Saturday.

11.12 | Women's Soccer
               Sophmore forward Daniela Ramirez (Rupert, ID) was named to the NCAA Division II Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team. Ramirez led the Mavericks with nine goals and seven assists in her first year as a member of the MSC soccer team. She tallied 61 shots, 29 shots on goal, and four game winning goals.

11.10 | Women's Swimming
                In their first home swim meet of the season, the Bill & Peggy Foster Duels, the Mavericks defeated Colorado College (215-46), Grand Canyon University (217-36) and CU-Boulder’s club team (207-55) Saturday at the Orchard Mesa Pool. Division I Air Force Academy went 4-0 in the dual meet, including a 161-101 win over MSC.
